Conversation capture is off for every client. Prompt and response text is stored only when that client wants it and a workspace admin turns capture on. While it is off, the Environment tab shows ZDR as enabled. Operational metadata for auth, security, metering, and audit can still be kept. The trust page is the compliance statement. This page is the switch. Enabling capture stores the full content of every AI request and response from devices in this client: user prompts, assistant output, system prompts, and tool results, including file contents and shell output. Anyone in the organization who can open the client can read it. The text may contain PHI, personal data, credentials, and confidential business information. To enable it, open the client, go to Conversations, and choose Enable conversation capture. Read the disclosure, pick a retention period, and type the client name. Retention is 30 days, 90 days (the default), 365 days, or indefinite. Indefinite means the conversations stay until you delete them. Do not enable capture for a HIPAA client unless a BAA that covers MSPilot is signed. You are responsible for the client’s consent. HIPAA itself is turned on with MSPilot, not from this tab. Email support@mspilot.io. Disable capture stops new storage. Conversations already captured stay until their retention ends, or until you delete them from the client’s danger zone. Disabling does not delete them on the spot. The list can be filtered by device. Opening a row shows the transcript. A device that has been removed can leave a transcript behind.
