Connect N-sight RMM with an API token. MSPilot uses it to sync clients and computers into your clients. You need an N-sight RMM user who can generate the API key: a Superuser, a non-Classic Administrator, or a login with the General Settings permission.

Generate an API token in N-sight RMM

  1. In the All Devices view, go to Settings → General Settings → API.
  2. Choose Generate, or use the existing key if you already have one. Regenerate replaces the key, and anything that uses the old key stops working.
  3. Copy the key to a password manager.

Connect N-sight RMM

  1. In MSPilot, open Integrations and choose N-sight RMM.
  2. Select the Territory server for your N-sight RMM account.
  3. Paste the key into API token.
  4. Choose Connect N-sight. MSPilot reports N-sight connected.

After you connect

Map each client to the N-sight client that should supply its devices. Open the client and use N-sight mapping on its Overview tab. Pick the N-sight client and choose Save mapping. Each N-sight client can map to only one MSPilot client. Refresh devices updates that client’s inventory right away.

Install the agent

Connecting syncs computers. It does not install the agent. On the client, open Deployment. Set the seat cap, create or reuse an enrollment key, and pick Windows or macOS in the install step. For N-sight RMM, Deployment gives you a file to download, not a script to copy, because Script Manager uploads a file. The key, the gateway URL, and the channel are already inside the file.

Windows

Under AI applications, tick the apps to install, then choose Download mspilot-deploy.ps1. In the All Devices view, go to Settings → Script Manager and choose New. Only change these fields: Save the script as an Automated Task set to run as System, then add the task to the Windows devices. The agent reads the N-sight device ID from the N-sight agent’s settings.ini, so the task passes no device ID. When Claude Desktop is included, keep a user signed in during the run, and restart Windows if the job reports reboot_required=true. You do not schedule a pull job; the agent schedules its own. macOS

Choose Download mspilot-bootstrap.sh. In the All Devices view, go to Settings → Script Manager and choose New. Only change these fields: Save the task and add it to the Apple Silicon Macs (macOS 12 or later) you want enrolled. It runs as root, so nobody needs to be signed in. The signed-in user’s AI apps are configured right away; other users at their next sign-in, then hourly. You can schedule the same task daily; running it again is a safe repair.
